NEPALESE WOMEN JOIN FOOD & TECHNOLOGY EXPO IN NEW DELHI

Beneficiaries of the WINNER Programme in Nepal recently joined the Food and Technology Expo 2005 held in New Delhi, India, 9 – 11 September 2005. The participation of the Nepalese women entrepreneurs was made possible through the assistance of TIPS/WINNER-Nepal and Planet Finance – India under the Nepal Micro Invest IT Project.
The women entrepreneurs showcased their products and production capacities at the trade and technology exposition and received numerous inquiries for possible product supply to buyers.
Exhibited at the exposition were various export-quality products, ranging from food stuffs to household items, including candles and fiber-based home décor. Drawing numerous inquiries were candies and pickled products, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, peanut butter and spread and snackfood.
